There are two types of programmers in the Microsoft
world.

Those that have been seriously programming large
systems on Microsoft platforms and those that have
Visual Basic temporary tattoos (card carrying
BillOids)

Those of use who have been programming Windows since
Windows 2.0 and have used every version (including
betas) of MSC, MSVC++, etc, been members of MSDN back
to when MSDN was invented (NT 3.1 Beta time) could
teach allot to those folks with the VB temp. tattoos.

Originally I wrote a long set of hurdles for Windows
developers and proofs that they exist as a response to
your answer to Jim, but realized there is no point in
arguing here with logic, as you are much happier in
the Matrix.

Microsoft offers a lot of candy, but there are razors
in them, don't forget to X-ray before eating what they
put in your goody bags at conferences.

Remember Microsoft is only concerned about advancing
and innovating for Microsoft, not the software
industry or software engineering fields. Microsoft
doesn't embrace XML, Microsoft embraces Microsoft XML.
Microsoft doesn't embrace HTML, it embraces Microsoft
HTML, etc.

When you program on Windows, you program to the
Microsoft specifications. The specifications are the
standard on Windows, but not in the industry or in any
of its organized political bodies, Who cares.........
In the MS world, definitions of words, phrases, and
products change quicker then time itself.

Where the MS Marketing Machine goes, that is where the
brain washed public and Tattooed VB people go, and
that is where most of our employers go.

Ada isn't paying your bills, but MS products are for
the moment, good for you. Please, don't bother us on
Team-Ada with MS propaganda, we are busy trying to
write tools, bindings, frameworks, etc. for Ada and
advocating sound principles of engineering and
adherence to real standards to benefit the public and
advance the industry not just one company, ie. create
Ada propaganda.

It's no comic, that is why there have been at least
half a dozen books on hidden Windows APIs!
