I just verified this is true--at least partially. However, about two
months ago, I was at a Web page describing Team-Ada and I clicked a link
that said it was to the archives. I was immediately asked for a
password.

By partially, I mean that I can go directly to an index for any month.
But when I click search, the browser grinds away for many minutes with
no response ("www.listserv.acm.org contacted. Waiting for reply") and
then the operator (me) runs out of patience.
