Aside from calculating various functional and object-oriented metrics, the
tool allows a user to, from a large list of language features, choose which
language features the tool will flag (or not flag) and inform the user that
the particular language feature was used. For example, if your project
prohibits the use of tasking, the user simply clicks on the NO_TASKING
restriction and every instance in the source code where a task or task type
appears the tool reports this back to the user. It is then up to the user
to take the appropriate action within whatever verification process being
used. It is also possible, to have profiles of language restrictions that
would correspond to a particular analysis technique. For example, from the
HRG Report class-wide operations are allowed under Timing Analysis, but
excluded structure-based testing. There could be a "Structure-based
Testing" profile that would then enable checks for all language features
excluded for this technique. You can also make project-specific profiles to
tailor restrictions for whatever purpose. The bottom line is we can check
for usage of almost every language feature that is statically analyzable and
