Hi,
Matt Jones points out an innovative feature of the new bbc.co.uk home page:
The background colors of the various sections change based on your browsing

I´ve not seen anything like that before. One could see advantages like
better orientation, or disadvantages like unbalanced design may occur - or
it just doesn´t effect usability at all (like one could read from the
comments below). 
 
Does anyone have experience with such graphical "intelligence"?
