Greetings,
With everyone's health and safety in mind, we are adapting some of the

2. During the conference, authors will be able to present their work via
pre-recorded videos and/or conference calls (in case they opt to avoid

CSCW 2020 Workshop:
“Decolonizing Learning Spaces for Sociotechnical Research and Design.”

As spaces for learning about Computer-Supported Collaborative Work (CSCW)
research and practice become more diverse, there is a pressing need to
revise the universal collaborative and pedagogical structures supporting
them. Specifically, it has become urgent to explore how to ‘de-center’
dominant assumptions about who learns in these environments. Our workshop
aims to collectively explore how to craft learning spaces that resist
universality by recognizing and valuing other perspectives and realities.
We will consider systemic roots of how learning spaces for socio-technical
research are setup, ways in which they can

https://sites.google.com/view/nordichi2020wsai/ <https://sites.google.com/view/nordichi2020wsai/>

Robotics, automated systems and AI are gradually shaping novel techno-social realities especially in educational contexts. However not enough space is being given to a critical reflection on the emerging ethical and social implications for designers/developers and the users, especially children. This workshop aims at creating a space to discuss the current practices and the near future opportunities for the support of children’s reflections related to robotics, automated systems, and AI implied in educational environments.

Dear Colleague,

Hope and pray that you stay safe in this COVID-19 situation.
ISIC 2021 will allow remote participation and the organizing committee has
started working toward putting together the technical infrastructure for
both types of presentations (Face-to-face and remote).
We understand that some workplaces are forfeiting the travel allowance, but
need not worry as we make the remote participation available via online
platforms. The registration amount for remote participation will be
decreased by 30% in every category.

***Remote attendance will be facilitated***

OVERVIEW

As smartphone penetration continues to expand throughout the Global South,
and various "AI for/and Social Good" efforts prepare to dominate technology
trends in such parts, challenges related to the robustness and utility of
data infrastructures become increasingly pressing. For data to be
meaningful, they must be collected, stored, understood, analyzed, and
visualized, all from a holistic and contextually appropriate perspective.
There are challenges encountered in each of these stages, however, given
the cultural, technological, and/or infrastructural

Conversational agents that interact with users in everyday settings are becoming more commonplace, yet their identity has not yet been a key point of investigation. With this workshop, we open up discussion on the relationship between multimodality and identity of digital agents. Who “lives” in which devices or bodies and how may agents’ use of multimodal cues add to or conflict with their identity? Multi-disciplinary teams of researchers are welcomed to explore opportunities and challenges of an identity of an artificial agent that may transfer between multiple devices, the perception therein of having a single identity

COVID-19 Update: due to the pandemic situation and for the safety of all
participants, ISVC 2020 will be virtual this year. Hopefully, we should be

The Hypertext 2020 organizing team wants to help ensure broad participation in the conference and so has created the HT 2020 Fair Access Initiative. This initiative is a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its disruption to daily life and the economies of many countries, especially those considered to be developing countries. The Fair Access Initiative is making available several dozen free registrations to this year’s virtual conference. Applicants may be students, researchers, or professionals, though students in developing countries are especially encouraged to apply.

Mixed and Virtual Reality (XR) have seen an important development since the advent of low-cost technologies. The application space is still diversifying, opening up new opportunities and application areas for such technologies. An important common feature of XR applications is that designers and engineers need to orchestrate virtual content and user experience. We regard orchestration of XR as invisible work: in many cases, orchestration is hidden within the task

-term-human-robot-interaction **

==== Overview ====

Lifelong learning is an essential requirement for social robots since it
facilitates learning new concepts, situations, or abilities so that the
robots can "appropriately adapt [their] behavior to the social context" as
well as other contexts that may arise. The main objective of this first
workshop is to bring together a multidisciplinary group of

CfP: 5th International Workshop on Mental Health and Well-being: Sensing
and Intervention (MHSI)`

Mental health issues affect a significant portion of the world’s population
and can result in debilitating and life-threatening outcomes. To address
this increasingly pressing healthcare challenge, there is a need to
research novel approaches for early detection and prevention. In
particular, ubiquitous systems can play a central role in revealing and
tracking clinically relevant behaviors, contexts, and symptoms. Further,
such systems can passively detect relapse onset and enable the opportune
delivery of effective intervention strategies.
