The First International Workshop on Hot Topics in
Container Networking and Networked Systems (HotConNet'17)
Introduction:

Containerization technology is being adopted quickly by the software industry because it offers fast deployment, good portability, and high resource efficiency to run large-scale and distributed systems. For example, many large Internet companies, e.g. Google, Yelp and AirBnB, etc., have intensively used containers to speed up the development of their applications and platform. The ecosystem of containerization is also rapidly growing. For instance, operating system providers like Microsoft and RedHat have released features to support Docker/container in Windows and Linux respectively; cloud providers like AWS,

Dear colleague,

The 6th International Workshop for Parallel and Distributed Computing for Large Scale Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics (ParLearning) will be held with IEEE IPDPS<http://ipdps.org/> on May 29, 2017 in Orlando, Florida, USA. As in previous years, we invite novel works that advance the fields of Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Artificial Intelligence through development of scalable parallel algorithms or distributed computing frameworks. Ideal submissions would be characterized as scaling up X on Y, where potential choices for X and Y are provided below.

*Advanced Caching in Wireless Networks*

While many existing communication technologies fail to scale with
increasing network sizes, recent developments have revealed that caching at
wireless edge, i.e. prefetching contents at or closed to the end users, can
boost the performance and efficiency of wireless networks. Our workshop
will seek to promote an insightful understanding of the fundamental
elements behind some recent breakthroughs and challenges in turning caching
into a key ingredient for future wireless networks.

Network science, sometimes also called "complex networks science", has

organisms, in engineering systems, as well as in social networks. Most

CALL FOR PAPERS

NetEcon 2012
7th Workshop on the Economics of Networks, Systems, and Computation
Mar 30, 2012, held in conjunction with INFOCOM'12

The emergence of the Internet as a global platform for computation and
communication has sparked the development and deployment of many large-scale
networked systems. Often, these systems involve multiple stakeholders with
competing interests. Unmitigated selfish behavior in these systems can lead to
high inefficiency or even complete collapse. Research interest in the
application of economic and game-theoretic principles to the design and
analysis of networked systems has grown in recent years.
