One thing I find amusing (in view of Java's alleged
goal in life) is how often I hear of some hot new
product in Java with "system requirements" listing
a particular version of Windows.  Once or twice,
I thought "maybe that's a mistake from marketing
and it really is portable."  Each time, I found
that it was not.
