European Workshop on Service Systems (EWOSS): System as a Fundamental
Abstraction of Service Science
November 9 2009, Eindhoven, The Netherlands
We are pleased to announce the forthcoming SSMEnetUK event: European
Workshop on Service Systems (EWOSS): System as a fundamental abstraction
of Service Science (http://www.ssmenetuk.org/netactivity.asp) will be
held on 9 November, 2009 at Eindhoven, The Netherland, and will be
co-located with European Conference on Web Services
(http://is.ieis.tue.nl/ecows09/index.html.)
The aim of the workshop is to bring like-minded people together to
develop a research agenda for service systems, focusing particularly on
their foundations. We intend to run the workshop as a discussion forum
where researchers and practitioners can share and debate their ideas,
and present their work-in-progress.
You are invited to submit full papers or extended abstracts on topics
including, but not limited to:
- Theories, concepts, metaphors, and analogies of service systems;
- Service system development methods, principles and patterns for system
analysis, modelling, design, implementation, and evolution;
- Techniques, notations and languages for describing, specifying and
modelling service systems;
- Techniques, methods and languages for service system configuration,
composition, and integration;
- Formal and informal models of service systems, including quality and
economic models of services;
- Service system architectures;
- service system simulation;
- Service system management;
- Case studies, experience reports, examples, and use case scenarios of
service systems.
Important Dates:
October 01: Submission deadline
October 20: Notification of acceptance
October 28: Camera ready version
