The past two years has marked an increase in submissions to ACM
Transactions on Computer-Human Interaction, which we hope will be
sustained as our field increases its scope and influence.

We have completed publication of the special issues on HCI in the New
Millenium, edited by Jack Carroll. Now in press and soon to be
shipped is an issue on HCI and mobile computing, edited by Philip
Gray and Allan MacLean, to be followed by an issue on Collaborative
Virtual Environments, edited by Steve Benford, Tom Rodden, and Paul
Dourish. A good set of papers is now in place for early 2001.
