CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: Human Factors Students and Faculty

The University of Buffalo SUNY in collaboration with the
The UB Human Factors Students' Chapter present:

The 3rd annual Interuniversity Workshop on Human Factors Engineering

DATE: Saturday, November 2nd, 2002
LOCATION: University of Buffalo SUNY, Buffalo, NY, USA

The purpose of this workshop is to bring students and researchers together
from the local area to share research progress and ideas in human factors
engineering. We intend this to be a very positive event that will be fun and
constructive for everyone.

The main event will occur on a Saturday Nov. 2nd with approx. 15 minutes
presentations followed by questions/comments/suggestions from the audience.
The workshop is intended to be quite informal and presenters may discuss
previous research, or ideas/work in progress related to human factors

Schedule: TBA

Since the workshop is only one day, accommodations should not be too much of
a problem. However, if you are looking for staying over either Friday and/or
Saturday night we can look for cheap accommodations for the weekend and let
you know more details.

NEW THIS YEAR: For the first time this year, we will have a short poster
session for students who cannot present and/or attend the workshop, but
would like to display their work at the conference.

We will put together a summary of all the presentations and posters. This
will consist of a 150 to 250 words abstract of your presentation, which will
be given to the participants during the workshop.

OCTOBER 18th: Please let us know if you plan to attend and if you need
OCTOBER 23rd: Last day to send your abstract to workshop co-ordinators
OCTOBER 25th: Final program will be e-mailed to participants and posted on
the Website
NOVEMBER 2nd: See you in Buffalo

Please note that you DO NOT have to present to attend the workshop. However,
if you are planning to attend, but not present, let us know by OCTOBER 18th,
