We invite you to submit your high-quality original contributions to
the inaugural issue of the Journal of Human-Robot Interaction.

In an effort to encourage the truly interdisciplinary work that is at
the heart of HRI, the inaugural special issue will be focused upon
interdisciplinary work at the intersection systems sciences (e.g.,
computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering) and
human sciences (e.g., human factors, social sciences, humanities).

Submissions that include both a systems component (e.g., prototyped,
modified, or fully built system) and a studies component (e.g.,
empirically studied or user tested) will be championed for publication
in this special issue.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
 - Perception technologies for supporting human interaction with robots
 - Machine learning algorithms that make use of human skill and intelligence
 - Crowdsourcing human skill and intelligence for robotic applications
 - Computational models of human interaction for use in HRI situations
 - Explorations of use cases and demonstrations of compelling
applications for HRI

Excellent quality non-traditional papers are welcome and encouraged:
Literature reviews, debates, tutorials, teaching modules, data sets,
open source code. Submitted manuscripts must not have been published
or be under review for possible publication. All papers will be peer
reviewed in a single-blind procedure.

Submission Instructions:
 - Author guidelines:
http://humanrobotinteraction.org/journal/index.php/HRI/about/submissions#authorGuidelines
 - Submissions will be accepted online: humanrobotinteraction.org/journal
 - Paper will be reviewed in a single-blind manner. As such, please
include authors’ names and affiliations.

Important Dates:
 - Friday, January 13, 2012 - Submission deadline
