3DUI 2008 - Call for Posters
Posters due: December 9th
------------------------------------------------------------------

IEEE Symposium on 3D User Interfaces 2008 March 8-9, Reno, Nevada, USA (in
conjunction with IEEE Virtual Reality 2008)

http://conferences.computer.org/3dui

The IEEE Symposium on 3D User Interfaces 2008 is the third international
symposium focused on the topic of 3D UIs and will be held to provide an
intensive exchange between industrial and academic researchers working in
various 3DUI research areas and to trigger discussions among participants.
It builds on successful 3DUI workshops in 2004 and 2005, as well as the
IEEE 3DUI Symposiums in 2006 and 2007. The symposium will last for two
days, and will be followed immediately by the IEEE VR conference. The
theme of the Symposium will cover all areas of 3D UI research. The
Symposium themes include, but are not limited to, the following topics:

* 3D input devices
* 3D display devices
* 3D interaction techniques
* 3D user interface metaphors
* Collaborative 3D interaction
* Evaluation methods for 3D UIs
* Applications of 3D UI techniques

The 3DUI Symposium invites posters within the scope of three-dimensional
user interfaces. Posters provide an interactive forum in which authors can
present their work to symposium attendees at a special poster session and
during conference breaks. Posters describe or discuss research work that
is still in progress, sketch out novel ideas or systems, or present the
latest implemented applications. Since posters are not publications, they
will be more lightly reviewed than papers and tech-notes. However, they
will also appear in the printed proceedings.
Please see also the Double-Submissions Policy .
Poster submissions should be in the form of a one or two page abstract
prepared in IEEE VGTC format. It should describe the author(s) and
affiliation, the research problem, as well as the contribution to the
field. Additional material, such as videos or demos, may be included in
the submission. For further information and for a detailed statement on
double publication, please see the Symposium website:
