*** Awards for visiting researchers ***

The Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute, founded by the University of Madeira, Carnegie Mellon University, and Madeira Tecnopolo, is pleased to announce awards intended to enable researchers to visit and work with us for a short period of time. The awards are open to both researchers and faculty, and are meant to cover all reasonable expenses incurred as part of the visit. The recipients of the awards will be encouraged to collaborate closely with faculty and researchers at our institute during their visit.

Topics:
We are currently accepting proposals from researchers with interests in developing secure, privacy aware, and trustworthy technologies in the context of online and mobile social networks. Applicants with interests in human-computer interaction, social networks, network analysis, machine learning, ubiquitous and pervasive computing, and formal method development are encouraged to submit a proposal. Exceptional candidates with other interests will also be considered.

Eligibility:
Candidates of all nationalities are eligible for this award. Successful candidates will be allowed to apply for subsequent awards.

Closing date:
There is no explicit closing data. Applications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis.
