Opening for a Doctoral Student in HCI for Pervasive Environments

The Pervasive and Artificial Intelligence Research Group (PAI) at the  
University of Fribourg, in Fribourg, Switzerland, is looking for a  
doctoral student to work on one of the topics below, in the context of  
the iWall project. The iWall project is an interdisciplinary effort  
between several research groups at the University of Fribourg,  
including computer scientists, human-computer interaction researchers,  
cognitive ergonomists and engineers, to design and implement large  
interactive display surfaces to encourage communication and  
collaboration is semi-public settings such as within companies or  
educational institutions.

The candidate MUST have:
a Master diploma (obtained before the start of their doctoral work)
a computer science or human-computer interaction background and  
programming skills
a very good level (spoken) of either German or French, and a good  
level of English, as they will be required to be involved in teaching  
actives.

The position is fully funded with a starting date of March 2010 or as  
soon as possible. Interested candidates should email their CV and a
