CHI 2008 Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems Call for Participation: Contemporary Trends Deadline 8 Jan 2008

The CHI 2008 conference, to be held in beautiful Florence, Italy, is approaching its final Call for Participation; the deadline to submit materials to the Contemporary Trends portion of the conference is January 8th, 2008. This includes submissions to the following venues (details at

- Venues for Practitioners and Researchers include:
  * Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
  * Work-in-Progress
  * Research Landscapes [a new venue that offers the opportunity to present organization and laboratory content as well as project overviews]
  * alt.chi [an alternative venue for alternative content].

- Venues for Students include:
  * Student Research Competition
  * Student Design Competition

We are looking for contributions from all of our HCI communities, including Design, Education, Engineering, Management, Research, and Usability. All accepted work will be published in the CHI Extended Abstracts.

In addition to content submissions, you can also ensure a great conference by volunteering to review work submitted by others in the community. Sign up to review at and even if you have signed up or reviewed before please renew your agreement and update your information as soon as possible.

The HCI community is counting on you: please submit your work from both practice and research, help review, and join us in beautiful Florence, Italy, in 2008!
