O'Reilly themselves say that they have applied for "Web 2.0" as a

Also, I have some advice for anyone thinking of using the name "Syntagm"
in a product or conference. Don't!<g> Twenty years ago when I picked the
word out of the dictionary I thought it would be cool to have something
with an unusual spelling (the 'g' is silent - it's a rule of English
pronunciation that everyone seems to forget). By now the novelty has
worn off.
