This is exactly what I plan to do for a futur project. Using GLADE as a server
in front of an Access database. Definitly you should get the ODBC Ada binding
for NT that I've done. You can downlaod this from my personal homepage.

I have also uploaded a port of GDBM 1.8.0 for NT with a thin and a thick
binding, this could
be a good alternative to Access depending on what kind of database you're
looking for...
