Call for Chapters for the Handbook of Research on Telecommunications
Planning and Management for Business
(Advances in E-Business Research (AEBR) Book Series)

Introduction: Telecommunications technologies continue to evolve in
different directions and are now key strategic assets in business
organizations. With the rapid progress in telecommunications technologies,
telecommunications planning and management have become increasingly
important in this digital economy. New telecommunications technologies that
can have significant implications for corporate strategies are being
developed constantly. For example, wireless and wired networks complemented
by a growing range of mobile devices are having a significant impact on the
ways business organizations serve customers and run their daily operations.
The incredible growth of telecommunications technologies and the demand for
a new generation of telecommunications stakeholders have facilitated the
introduction of Telecommunications Management programs in many higher
education institutions in the US and around the world.

The Handbook of Research on Telecommunications Planning and Management for
Business (Advances in E-Business Research (AEBR) Book Series) will provide
a repository for researchers, educators, students, and industry
practitioners to share and exchange their research ideas, practical
experiences, challenges, and opportunities. In addition, it will present
tools and techniques in all aspects of telecommunications planning and
management. This new publication will be distributed among academic and
professional institutions worldwide and will be instrumental in providing
access to the latest knowledge on telecommunications planning and
management for business.

Coverage:  The Handbook of Research on Telecommunications Planning and
Management for Business (Advances in E-Business Research (AEBR) Book
Series) will provide a compendium of terms, definitions and explanations of
concepts, processes and acronyms. Additionally, this volume will feature
chapters (5,000-7,500 words) authored by leading experts offering an in-
depth description of key terms and concepts related to different  areas,
issues and trends in telecommunications planning and management for
business worldwide.

Invited Submissions: Individuals interested in submitting chapters on the
above-suggested topics or other related topics should submit a 2-3 page
chapter proposal clearly explaining the mission and objectives of the
proposed chapter to In Lee, editor, at [log in to unmask] no later than August
31, 2007. We strongly encourage other topics that have not been listed in
our suggested list, particularly if the topic is related to the research
area in which you have expertise. Upon acceptance of your proposal, you
will have until January 31, 2008, to prepare your chapter of 5,000-7,500
words and 7-10 related terms and their appropriate definitions. Guidelines
for preparing your paper and terms and definitions will be sent to you upon
acceptance of your proposal.

The book is scheduled to be published by Information Science Reference
(formerly Idea Group Reference) (an imprint of IGI Global). For additional

Schedule of Deadlines:
August 31, 2007 - 2-3 page proposal for chapters
September 15, 2007 - Acceptance notification for chapter proposals
January 31, 2008 - Full chapter submission
March 31, 2008 - Deadline for writing to authors about needed revisions
May 15, 2008 - Revised chapters due from authors
June 30, 2008 - Deadline for final accepted chapters, disk, and author
