Open PostDoc position (as full-time Assistant Professor) available in
the Center for Human Computer Interaction at Kochi University of
Technology, Japan
* Outline
The Center for Human Computer Interaction is offering one post-doc
position (as full-time Assistant Professor) in User Interface Design,
Natural User Interface (NUI), Mobile User Interface, and other areas
in relation to HCI in the Center for Human Computer Interaction at
Kochi University of Technology to carry out human computer interaction
research.
* Content of work
Developing and generating novel research concepts, designs, direction,
and outputs (in general, writing papers for publication in refereed
international journals and/or conferences) in areas related to Next
Generation User Interfaces, such as Natural User Interfaces, Mobile
User Interfaces, Game and User Engagement, etc.
The successful applicant is expected to be based full-time, as
Assistant Professor at Kochi University of Technology, Japan.
*Qualifications
The applicant must have a PhD degree in computer science or a related
subject, an outstanding track record in computer science, information
technology and/or HCI. The applicant should demonstrate outstanding
academic performance (e.g. good programming skills, strong knowledge
of math and statistics, interaction technologies, e.g. Microsoft
Kinect, eye tracking system, smartphones, etc.), research ability,
communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to
work as part of a team as well as independently in the Center for
Human Computer Interaction. The applicant must have strong ability in
the English language (Japanese is a plus, but not essential).
* Starting Date
The position to begin no later than April 1, 2013 and earlier start is
preferred.
