YOU ARE INVITED TO CELEBRATE MICHIGAN WORLD USABILITY DAY

LOCATION: Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, East Lansing, Michigan

Michigan State University's Usability & Accessibility Center and the
Michigan Usability Professionals' Association (MI-UPA) have organized World
Usability Day for Michigan, one of many such events that will join over 100
locations in more than 35 countries to promote World Usability Day on
Tuesday, November 14, 2006. This is the second statewide celebration of
World Usability Day and MSU's Fourth Annual Usability & Accessibility Event.

We have added concurrent workshops during the morning, along with our
regular afternoon sessions about informative and timely topics in
human-technology interface design.  All sessions will be relevant to
researchers, professionals, and students alike.

Workshop 1-A: 
Usability as a Tool for Capacity Building: Conducting Community-Based
User-Research

TOURS, MSU USABILITY & ACCESSIBILITY CENTER (Kellogg Center, East Lansing)
Informal tours lasting approximately 15 minutes will be offered from 9:00
a.m. until 12:00 noon on the day of the event. The UAC is located on the
Garden Level of the Kellogg Center and an RSVP spot is included in the
on-line registration for Michigan World Usability Day.

POSTERS
This year, we are adding a student poster session to the day's events. The
poster session is open to students from any discipline, and the posters
should describe a design project that places users at the center of the
design process. Submission guidelines at:
