CALL FOR PAPERS
Context Aware Mobile Systems (CAMS) Workshop
-----------------------------------------
The Third CAMS workshop will run at the highly regarded On The Move (OTM)
Conference series in Vilamura, Algarve, Portugal. The conference runs from
25th-30th November 2007.
The CAMS workshop series has brought together some of the leading
researchers in Context-Aware Systems and has attracted many interesting
papers in its first two years. This year the series continues with a book
in preparation to cover the best papers from the first three workshops
(including 2007).
CAMS' aim is to provide a forum to discuss the challenges of providing
context-aware (including, but not limited to, location-aware) services to
the users of mobile devices such as mobile phones, PDAs and media players.
The emphasis of the workshop is on the design of effective context-aware
systems, from user interaction and feedback through middleware
architecture and storage to context modelling and computation.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
Topics welcome at the workshop include, but are not limited to:
* Data models of context
* Data management for mobile context-aware services (e.g. caching,
peer-to-peer, indexation, compression)
* Process models for context-aware systems (e.g. event-based,
communication, selection)
* Architecture for mobile context-aware applications
* Research questions unique to the mobile context-aware area
* User context models and processing
* Adaptivity
* User interfaces for mobile context-aware systems (e.g. for context
representation and manipulation by the user)
SUBMISSION FORMAT
Submissions can be short position papers (of four pages each) or long
papers (ten pages) in LNCS format. We welcome any material relevant to
the workshop theme, and aim to provide a platform that includes research
in its early stages through to the evaluation of mature systems.
The CAMS workshops have received high praise from previous participants,
and we look forward to providing another year of stimulating and exciting
research in a rapidly growing and challenging research field.
DEADLINES
Abstracts of papers are welcomed by 20th July 2007.
Final submission deadline is 26th July 2007.
