We are happy to announce that UIST 2003, the Sixteenth
Annual ACM Symposium on User Interface Software and
Technology, will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia,
Canada on November 2-5, 2003.

UIST is the premier forum for innovations in the software
and technology of human-computer interfaces. Sponsored by
ACM's special interest groups on computer-human interaction
(SIGCHI) and computer graphics (SIGGRAPH), UIST brings
together researchers and practitioners from diverse areas
that include traditional graphical user interfaces, virtual
and augmented reality, multimedia, new input and output
devices, and CSCW. The intimate size, the single track,
and comfortable surroundings make this symposium an ideal
opportunity to exchange research results and implementation
experiences.

UIST 2003 is soliciting full-length research papers, shorter
TechNotes, posters, and demos. In addition, UIST will hold
its first Doctoral Symposium and its third interaction design
contest.

Key dates: Papers and Technotes due: March 31, 2003
Demos and Posters due: June 20, 2003

New this year -- UIST is being held overlapping with ICMI-PUI
2003, the International Conference on Multimodal Interfaces.
Attendees will have the opportunity to register for both
conferences at a substantial discount.

For more information, please visit the UIST 2003 web site
at http://www.acm.org/uist.
