It seems to be accepted that using the first person is bad in a UI. 
("Hi, I'll be your word processor today." is what it always seems like).

Is that different for kids? Saying, "I didn't understand what you 
just said." seems better for a kids' application then whatever we'd 
use in a business application ("Use mm/dd/yyyy format for dates" for example).

Whaddya think? I'll collect responses, etc.
