Hi Sandeep,

If you are talking about including the user's login name in the
welcome message, then this is a good way for the user to be assured
they are logged in as the right person, and they know that the system
knows who is currently using the application. Saying "Welcome, Mark"
or something along those lines would help you know that Sandeep, for
example, is not the person currently logged in.

If, however, you have this login name listed elsewhere and you are
simply talking about having a friendly message, then i think this is
not as critical on an application. A retail site might like this for
branding and experiential purposes (and this may still apply to your
application) but functionally it does not seem necessary.

Does that answer your question?
