FINAL CALL FOR DEMOS: NEW DEADLINE MARCH 18th
(apologies for cross posting)

IDC 2011: The 10th International Conference on Interaction Design and
Children
In cooperation with ACM SIGCHI

University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA
June 19-23, 2011
www.idc2011.net

Demos may support any of the areas identified in the conference topics. We
particularly encourage demo proposals that speak to our conference theme
about the "pervasive technology landscape". Authors are encouraged to submit
demos that have not been previously published, that have not been shown at
previous IDC events, or that present a clear leap forward from previous
versions. Authors are also encouraged to demonstrate work in progress and
late-breaking research results that show the latest innovative ideas. We
invite presentation by experienced academics as well as young researchers
and designers.

The contribution of the demo should be made clear in the paper and in its
abstract. The paper must identify and cite published work relevant to the
proposed demo, and explain how this work has built on previous
contributions. Papers should stress their contribution to concepts and
theories in the field of interaction design and children. Demos using novel
techniques and technologies should indicate where and why these approaches
have been adopted, and clearly identify the relevance and importance to IDC.

Submission Format
Demo papers may be up to four (4) pages long. The papers should be formatted
according to the ACM SIGCHI Publications Format. Please download and read
the ACM SIGCHI Publication Format <http://www.sigchi.org/chipubform/> ,
which contains information about how your paper should be structured and the
appropriate use of language. If English is not your first language, we
encourage you to have a fluent English speaker check your work.

Additionally, please note that all demo submissions must include a completed
demo requirements form
<http://sitemaker.umich.edu/idc2011/files/idc_demo_requirements.doc> as
part of your submission.

Presentation Format
Demos will be presented at the conference in a dedicated demo showcase,
which will allow attendees to interact with the authors (please see Program
and Schedule). Immediately prior to the demo session, each author will get
1-2 minutes on the plenary stage to introduce their work.

Review Process
Demo papers will be reviewed by at least three reviewers in a double-blind
process. Papers should therefore be anonymized: authors are expected to
remove author and institutional identities from the title and header areas
of the paper. Further suppression of identity in the body of the paper is
left to the authors' discretion.

Submission
Your complete demo paper must be submitted as a PDF (only) no later than
March 18 2011, 5:00 PM (1700) GMT at the EasyChair Submission web site.
Submissions arriving after the deadline or with improper formatting or
anonymization will not be considered.
