++++++++ As a reminder: Proposals are due in 2 weeks ++++++++
Can you write about “Designing for Social Change?”
If so, UX Magazine wants to hear from you. Our Spring 2011 issue will be coordinated with the theme for UPA’s annual conference in Atlanta. Some topics that might turn into good magazine articles include:
• Cultural models and cultural differences
• Designs for people in developing nations
• Designs with humanitarian or ethical impact
• Case histories of projects that produced positive behavioral change
• Technology’s impact on and for human values
The first step is an idea in your head, and the second step is a brief email proposing the idea. Then you have two months to create a draft article. The dates are:
• Proposals by November 29, 2010
• Draft articles by January 28, 2011
Please note that UX is a “magazine,” not a scholarly journal. We value conversational language and high human interest, not literature surveys and bibliographies.
We can’t use every article that’s submitted, but members of our editorial board are happy to work with any author who’s got a good idea.
If there’s an idea in your head, please get in touch.
