Position 1:  Interaction Designer
--------
You will be responsible for the interaction design for various Yahoo web
services and software which include but are not limited to ecommerce,
online communities, entertainment and media, personalized services, and
communication tools.  Primary responsibilities include identifying
requirements, developing the user interaction model and workflow,
proposing designs, creating prototypes, and exploring new paradigms for
using the internet. You will provide direction to, and work closely with
producers, engineers, visual designers, and usability engineers to
develop and improve website and software usability and functionality.

Education and experience:
* BS or BA in Human Factors, HCI, industrial design, or related area (or
equivalent experience).
* Must be able to demonstrate strong interaction design process and
skills; familiarity with usability engineering methodologies.
* Must communicate clearly and effectively; strong analytical and oral
communication skills; excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;
able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team.
* Must be organized, able to act independently, and able to switch
rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced and exciting
environment.
* Develops new approaches to complex design problems and is able to meet
aggressive deadlines. Has an eye for detail and can put ideas into a
tangible form.
* Must have solid understanding of Web site design, and working
familiarity with HTML.

Additional qualifications:
* Master's degree or 2 years experience in interface design or
instructional design within a product development organization or large
website.
* Experience with shipping products.
* Familiarity with the Windows and/or Macintosh Human Interface
Guidelines a plus

Position 2:  Product/Visual Designer

You will be responsible for the product and visual design for various
Yahoo web services, which include but are not limited to ecommerce,
online communities, entertainment and media, personalized services, and
communication tools.  Primary responsibilities include establishing the
product's identity, look and feel; proposing designs; creating
prototypes. You will work closely with producers, engineers, interaction
designers, and usability engineers to create websites that communicate
clearly and effectively where the information is the interface.

Education and experience:
* BFA/BA in Design, Industrial Design, Information Design or equivalent
* Experience with HTML and prototyping
* Portfolio includes strong understanding of web page layout,
information architecture, and graphic design skills
* Must communicate clearly and effectively; able to collaborate actively
with others in a cross-functional team.
* Must be organized, able to act independently, and able to switch
rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced and exciting
environment.
* Must pay strong attention to detail
* Must have solid understanding of Web site design, and working
familiarity with HTML.

* At least 2 years experience in design within a product development
organization or large website.
* Experience with shipping products

Position 3:  Usability Engineer

Yahoo! Inc. is looking for a Usability Engineer to join the User
Experience and Design team.  As a Usability Engineer at Yahoo, you will
participate as a key member in Yahoo's development teams that include
producers, visual and interaction designers, and engineers. You will be
responsible for the user research, including planning and
running usability studies, participatory design sessions, field studies,
and heuristic evaluations. You will have the opportunity to work on
various Yahoo web services and software which include but are not
limited to ecommerce, online communities, entertainment and media,
personalized services, and communication tools.

Education and experience:
* Degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related area (or
equivalent experience).
* Experience in gathering user requirements, field studies, heuristic
evaluation, usability testing, questionnaire/survey design, and user
interface design.
* Must communicate clearly and effectively; strong analytical and oral
communication skills; able to collaborate actively with others in a
cross-functional team.
* Must be organized, able to act independently, and able to switch
rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced and exciting
environment.
* Must pay attention to detail.

Additional qualifications:
* Master's degree/Ph.D. or 2 years experience in usability within a
product development organization or large website.
* Experience with web site usability a plus.
