Doctoral Colloquium

The Doctoral Colloquium offers PhD students in the field of CSCW the
opportunity to present and discuss their work with other CSCW
researchers. Students from all the CSCW related disciplines across
computing, engineering, the arts and humanities, business and social
sciences are encouraged to apply, although numbers will be limited.

Doctoral submissions should include an extended abstract of no longer
than 4 pages, including all figures and references. Your submission
should provide a clear statement of the research problem; a brief
summary of key works related to the problem; and a more detailed
account of your own research activities including the originality of
your work, key findings, and how your results advance or promise to
advance our understanding of the problem. You should also indicate how
the colloquium fits into your studies time wise, and what kind of
feedback you will like to obtain from the colloquium.

Doctoral submissions should be accompanied by a poster and, where
appropriate (e.g., where software has been developed) by a demo or a
video. The colloquium will take place on 24. September. There is no
fee for PhD students who present their work at the colloquium, though
successful candidates must register for the conference. Accepted
submissions will be published in Supplementary Proceedings of the 12th
European Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work and
circulated to attendees at registration.

The colloquium will take place on 24 September at the main conference
venue and successful candidates are invited to attend an evening
event, including dinner in downtown Aarhus provided by the conference
organisers.
