BCS HCI 2011
Interactive Experience
7 July, 2011 (session in the main conference)
http://hci2011.co.uk/site/interactive-experience/
The “Interactive Experience” is session is intended to give researchers and practitioners the opportunity to show polished systems, not-so-polished systems, cool-but-flakey prototypes, videos, or even short performances – whatever you feel might be appropriate and interesting to hci2011 attendees. These demos, performances and presentations will take place in parallel, through Culture Lab, for the whole duration of a 2-hour session.
We make no assumptions as to what might be considered appropriate (other than space, time and technical constraints). It’s a great opportunity to really get to people who you want to engage or challenge with your work. The two-hour session will also provide ample time for in-depth one-to-one discussion.
We welcome both standalone submissions and submissions relating to full and short conference and workshop papers.
Proposals should be submitted through EasyChair in the form of a video of up to 4 minutes length (maximum 20 MB). In addition, an Interactive Experience supplement document is required describing what you are proposing and any space, timing, or technical requirements. Please use the template below and submit a PDF accompanying your video through the conference submission system.
* Deadline for submitting your submission: Monday 25 April, 2011
* Notification: Friday 6 May, 2011
* Text and image for catalogue: 1 June, 2011
* Interactive Experience: 7 July, 2011
