I'm thinking about organizing a SIG at CHI 99 on the topic of building Web
applications and how it's different from building browsing or information
sites. We could also get into the differences between Web and desktop
applications.

Would anyone like to participate? We could probably get more done in 90
minutes of face-to-face discussion than weeks of email. (A "SIG" is a
"special interest group" -- an informal gathering of people to discuss a
topic of interest. No one has to write any position papers, we just gather
to chat and exchange ideas.)

The conference is in 15--20 May 1999, in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. I'll organize
it, as long as no one expects too much planning. We can work on an agenda
in email, and meet there.

If you're interested, you can send me mail, and I'll summarize after awhile.
