I'm not exactly sure if this is a usability issue, but
it seems closer to usability than to anything else.

I am searching for stastics/data about the "success
rate" (meaning that the email gets read instead of
deleted or that the intranet site gets visited)and
relative efectiveness of:

(1) broadcast/mass emailings to an employee population

versus

(2) posting the same information on an intranet and
prompting the employee to go find it

when it is not critical that employees get the
information immediately.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for this data?
