(Sorry, folks. No time to write a new poem, so in the best eco-friendly
tradition, I am recycling last year's!)
'Twas the week before Christmas and all through the list,
Many authors of postings were shaking their fists.
Their in-trays were full of replies auto-sent,
From subscribers who failed to suspend 'fore they went.
To avoid causing grief to all when you go,
please remember to follow the instructions below.
To suspend your CHI-WEB subscription before turning on out-of-office
replies, please send the following line as the body of an email to
[log in to unmask]
set chi-web nomail
To resume your subscription when you return, send this line
set chi-web mail
These links should create the correct email message on most systems:
Suspend subscription: <mailto:[log in to unmask] chi-web nomail>
Resume subscription: <mailto:[log in to unmask] chi-web mail>
(If you have any problems with these links, please let me know - I am
trying to find a suitable form that works for all email clients!)
With best wishes for the coming holidays and New Year,
William Hudson
