Call for Demonstrations and Videos at ECSCW 2011

12th European Conference on Computer Supported Cooperative Work
        September 24-28, Aarhus, Denmark.

        Submission Deadline: April 25, 2011

Call for Demonstrations and Videos

Live demonstrations and videos form an important part of the technical conference programme. Demonstrations of both research prototypes and commercial products by those directly involved in developing the systems are welcomed. The purpose of this session is to provide the authors with the ability to demonstrate their developments, to tell more about their research and results to interested participants, and to involve participants in discussions about their work, exchanging ideas, providing feedback, as well as sharing work-in-progress.

Authors submitting a paper to the ECSCW2011 conference track may consider submitting the same work to Demos & Videos session, for example if they want to provide a demonstration for an accepted paper. Note, that a separate demo submission must be made.

The submissions for Demos & Videos session must be related to the topics of interest of the ECSCW2011 main research tracks ( Submissions should include an extended abstract of 2-4 pages, including all figures and references. It should state the contribution and originality of the work explicitly, including just enough background to make it clear how the work differs from significant prior work. A full literature review is not required.

All submissions should be formatted according to the CHI Extended Abstract Format template ( and submitted via EasyChair (

An accompanying note should describe technical requirements (e.g. exceptional power, space, lighting conditions). Except for a power strip (230V), a poster board and an ordinary table, all equipment must be supplied by the demonstrator unless explicitly confirmed otherwise by the organizers.

The Demos & Videos extended abstracts will be distributed digitally and published online but will not become part of the main archived proceedings.
