CALL FOR PAPERS
Mobile Accessibility Workshop @ CHI 2013
http://mobile-accessibility.di.fc.ul.pt/

Date: 28th of April, 2013
Venue: Palais de Congrès de Paris, France, in conjunction with CHI
2013 (chi2013.acm.org)

Position Paper Submission: January 11th, 2013
=====

We are on the cusp of a fundamental change in how we relate to
information and others, accessible at all times and places. Alas, this
change might be barred to many, suffering from a wide range of
disabilities. Mobile devices are increasingly visual and touch-based,
making them hard to use by the blind, older or motor-impaired people.
People with disabilities experience many difficulties when they access
more complex contents and environments with mobile devices, e.g., the
Web. Moreover, the mobile aspect often creates situational impairments
where those interaction modes are cumbersome, even for non-disabled
people.

Topics of the workshop include but are not limited to:

- Mobile assistive technologies
- Dealing with Individual Differences
- Dealing with Situational Impairments
- Adaptive Mobile Interfaces
- Empowerment through mobile devices
- Guidelines for Mobile Interfaces
- Mobile Web accessibility challenges
- Mobile Web Standards and Guidelines
- HTML 5.0 Mobile Accessibility
- Evaluating Mobile Web Accessibility
