I am part of their target audience and I too found the site annoying. There
should be a place on the site to demo their flash capabilities. But the
intro page is not the place to do it. I think an applied portfolio section
would be perfect.

Give the users the choice of when and where they want to be overwhelmed by
Shockwave talent. Don't shove it down their throats and make them fight to
find out more about the company, its principals and its client portfolio.
