For me [the original poster], I wanted to bookmark the results of a search string -- *that* should not change with data changes.
Also, assuming the naming convention is consistent, bookmarking an Apple iMac should always return the most current iMac -- if there is such a product available. If the product is available and the DB doesn't return the most current entry, the problem is in the DB design, IMO, having worked w/developing bookmarkable pages out of DBs for several weeks last year.
