Carleton University is introducing a new master of human computer interaction. This new interdisciplinary program comprises three streams of study: MA, MASc, MCS, to accommodate students coming from human sciences, design sciences and computer science. 

The HCI program is a two-year full-time degree. It is expected that students will complete the coursework in the first year of study and the thesis in the second year. Over 30 professors contribute to the HCI program at Carleton, offering a diversity of research opportunities. 

== Admission Requirements ==
Applicants for the HCI MA program will normally hold an Honours degree or equivalent professional degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Business. Applicants for the MASc program will normally hold an Honours degree in Engineering, Architecture or Design. Applicants for the M.C.S. degree will normally hold an Honours degree in Computer Science. Applicants with a background in Cognitive Science will be considered for whichever of the three programs is appropriate to their particular academic background.

== Deadlines ==
Applications deadline is March 1, 2012.

== Financial Support ==
Students accepted into the program will be offered generous financial support through teaching assistantships and scholarships.
