International workshop call for papers:
USER INVOLVEMENT IN E-GOVERNMENT PROJECTS

How should user involvement be conducted in e-Government projects? Are current methods for user requirements engineering and evaluation sufficiently suited to the characteristics of e-Government development? And what is the state-of-the-practice for user involvement in e-Government projects today?

A full day workshop on practices and methods for user involvement in e-Government projects will be arranged as part of the international conference on human-computer interaction, Interact 2005 (http://www.interact2005.org). The participants of the workshop are invited to provide presentations based on their experience and research on user involvement in e-Government projects. The experience from different projects will enable discussion of factors contributing to successful user-involvement in e-Government projects, and recommendations for best practices.

Date: September 12, 2005
Location: Interact 2005 conference venue, Rome, Italy
Workshop web-page: http://www.effin.org/egov-workshop.html

Workshop participants are invited to submit position papers on research findings, case experiences, main challenges, or factors contributing to successful user involvement in e-Government development.
