14th ACM SIGCHI International Conference on
Human-Computer Interaction with Mobile Devices and Services

September 21-24, 2012, San Francisco, USA
Application Deadline: May 31, 2012

Mobile HCI 2012 is looking for enthusiastic student volunteers to help run
the conference smoothly. In exchange for their work, student volunteers
will receive free conference registration and lodging, as well as other
benefits. We are accepting applications from undergraduate, Masters and PhD
students who have excellent communication skills in English. We encourage
students from a wide range of disciplines and nationalities to apply so
that we can form a diverse and exciting group.

Student volunteers are an integral part of MobileHCI and have been for many
years. From behind the scenes, you will get the chance to see innovative
and impressive contributions from both academia and industry.

*Application Instructions*
To apply, please sign up at the MobileHCI 2012 SV website:
The application deadline is May 31, 2012 and we will notify you of the
results on June 10, 2012.

*Benefits and Duties*
As a MobileHCI Student Volunteer, you will be eligible for several benefits
such as free conference registration, five nights of free hotel lodging, a
cool T-shirt, a memorable SV party and the opportunity to network with your
grad school colleagues.

SVs need to be available to help throughout the conference and will be
expected to work up to approximately half of their time. As a student
volunteer, your duties will include staffing the registration desk, AV
assistance, poster and demo setup, badge checking, bag stuffing, break
monitoring, and other activities.

*Please be aware that travel expenses to and from the conference are not

*Arriving and Leaving*
SVs will need to be flexible, ready and available to help throughout the
conference. SVs need to arrive by 7pm on September 20 and are required to
stay until all sessions have ended on September 24. It is traditional to
have an SV party on one of the final evenings. The time and place for this
party will be announced when we know all the student volunteers' travel
