Patientslikeme.com, including Paul Wicks, will be joining our workshop with an opening talk. Please join us to enjoy this wonderful opportunity!

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
The ‘Design for Health’ workshop will offer a collaborative environment for multidisciplinary interaction around grand challenges and design opportunities for patient-generated information on the web, such as forum posts, blogs, tweets, or status updates that can facilitate personal health management. We invite researchers, practitioners, designers, ethnographers, engineers, programmers, and others with an interest in patient-generated information to join us to address critical design challenges, including:
* Scalable methods for processing an increasingly large corpus of patient-generated information
* Methods for processing narrative versus numeric forms of patient-generated information
* Depicting the range of opinions and experiences embedded within patient-generated information
* Working with ‘lay’ health concepts and language and their alignment with medical issues
* Being mindful with privacy-enhancing methods for data handling

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The workshop format includes small group brainstorming sessions and large group discussion focused on challenges and solutions. We ask applicants to submit a 1-page biography that includes:
(1) Your background and any areas of related work
