First IEEE International Workshop on Behaviour Analysis in Games and modern Sensing devices
June 24th 2013 Portland, Oregon
https://sites.google.com/site/bagscvpr2013/

Call for Papers
Behaviour analysis from visual cues, including body motion and facial expressions, as captured by modern sensing devices has recently emerged as an important research direction in computer games. Despite progress in computer vision for human behaviour analysis, the use of recently developed sensing technologies is largely unexplored. The last few years, with the advent of popular platforms such as Move, Kinect, 3DS, smart phones, Tablets and PSVita, entertainment systems have become more and more natural. The main challenge is how to employ these technologies for the development of better models for behaviour analysis, and of more effective algorithms, robust to real-world conditions and able to operate in real time. The workshop will discuss and disseminate work on computational models and systems for behaviour analysis for entertainment using modern sensing technologies. Challenges in a variety of related research fields have been raised including: characterization of actions, social behaviour, gesture and face analysis, visual metrics, augmented reality and modern human computer interaction mechanisms. To address these challenges, contributions are welcomed particularly in the following areas:

∙ Modern sensing devices
∙ Affective computing
∙ Behaviour analysis for games
∙ Computer vision for games
∙ Visual metrics
∙ Gestures, faces and body analysis
∙ Action - activity analysis and recognition
∙ Augmented reality
∙ Object, sketch and face recognition
