Question: On a Windows platform, does opening a new browser window
increase the usage of memory by the browser application(s)? I would
think this would be a problem if done again and again.
On a Mac it should increase the amount of the browser's memory
allotment that is used by the various windows, which can cause the
browser to run out of memory if taken too far. Can anyone confirm
this? (As far as I know, it cannot increase the amount of memory
allotted to the browser -- and I do know it doesn't fire up an
additional instance of the browser app).
To my mind, the additional use of memory is another issue here.
