Dear colleagues:

We are carrying out a one-year funded project related to the impact of online communities on the well-being and quality of life of people aged over 65 years. Age UK in Milton Keynes (where our university is based) is one of the external advisors on this project.

We were wondering if colleagues who may have had the experiences of interacting with and helping their parents or grandparents, relatives, neighbours, acquaintances or friends in joining online communities such as Facebook, or online discussion forums, or Twitter, and so on would be willing to share their stories and anecdotes with us: the benefits people aged over 65 perceive, the obstacles they face, or if they perceive any risks, and their motivation for joining online communities.

We would be most grateful to receive your stories and anecdotes. Please contact me <[log in to unmask]> if you would be able to help us or for further details of the project.

Many thanks.

Regards,

Shailey
