Call for Papers
Special Issue on
Games for Teaching and Learning
Journal of Educational Technology Systems
to appear Summer 2015
In recent years, games have become an important teaching tool, both within
and outside the classroom. In this special issue, we seek to explore the
many ways that games and related systems are changing the face of education.
The Journal of Educational Technology Systems, published quarterly by
Baywood Publishing Company, publishes high-quality original papers that
focus on how technology systems impact education. Papers published in this
peer-reviewed journal include case studies, descriptions of technology
innovations, survey/review articles, theoretical articles, and research
results. Example topics include (but are not limited to):
* Games in the classroom
* Games and simulations for informal learning
* Gamification of teaching and learning activities
* Games for STEM or the arts/humanities
* Affect/meaning in games
* Motivating learning with games
* Designing games that are inclusive and/or culturally sensitive
* Games for social good
* Games for varying learning styles
IMPORTANT DATES
Full papers due : January 19, 2015
Feedback to authors: February 20, 2015
Revised papers due: March 22, 2015
Special issue publication: Summer 2015
