Post-doctoral research opportunity available in the Center for Human
Computer Interaction at Kochi University of Technology, Japan.

* Outline

The Center for Human Computer Interaction is offering post-doctoral
research opportunities in User Interface Design, Natural User Interface
(NUI), Mobile User Interface, and other areas in relation to HCI in the
Center for Human Computer Interaction at Kochi University of Technology to
carry out human computer interaction research.

* Content of work

Developing and generating novel research concepts, designs, direction, and
outputs (in general, writing papers for publication in top-tier
international journals and/or conferences) in areas related to Next
Generation User Interfaces, such as Natural User Interfaces, Mobile User
Interfaces, Game and User Engagement, etc.

*Qualifications

The applicant must have a PhD degree in computer science or a related
subject, an outstanding track record in computer science, information
technology and/or HCI.  The applicant should demonstrate outstanding
academic performance (e.g. good programming skills, strong knowledge of
math and statistics, interaction technologies, e.g. Microsoft Kinect, eye
tracking system, smartphones, etc.), research ability, communication and
interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as
well as independently in the Center for Human Computer Interaction. The
applicant must have strong ability in the English language.

* Starting Date

The position to begin no later than October 1, 2014 and earlier start is
preferred.  Review of applications will start on April 26, 2014.
