Call for proposals for the hosting of ACM MobileHCI 2015 from the 
MobileHCI Steering Committee

MobileHCI is the world leading forum providing academics and 
practitioners a valuable place to discuss the challenges, potential 
solutions and innovations towards effective interaction with mobile 
systems and services.

It covers the analysis, design, evaluation and application of 
human-computer interaction techniques and approaches for all mobile 
computing devices, software and services.

MobileHCI runs an open bidding process - if your organization or group 
would wish to host MobileHCI in 2015, please submit your bids now.

Any bids (or any questions you may have beforehand) should be sent to 
Fabio Paterṇ at [log in to unmask] 
<mailto:[log in to unmask]>by July 31 2013.

You will receive an email to acknowledge receipt of your submission. In 
case of submissions with large attachments please use Dropbox or similar 
tools to send them.

After receiving bids, the steering committee will vote for the bids and 
all bidders will be informed of the result of the bidding process 
shortly after the steering committee meeting which will take place at 
MobileHCI 2013.

We need following information in order to make an informed decision:

* Intended location for the conference - city and venue

* who will be programme chairs - inc brief bio (1/2 page each)

* who will be conference chairs - inc brief bio (1/2 page each)

* who will be local organisation chairs - inc brief bio (1/2 page each)

* brief statement of chairs' experience of running conferences

* what are the initial planned dates

* which research groups will support the conference

*   which sponsors are likely and how will you attract sponsorship

* any direction/theme change you would envisage for MobileHCI [default=none]

* any new features/tracks you would like to include, any tracks from

2012/2013 that you would drop or other changes you would like to make to 
the conference [default=none]

* brief description (1/2 - 1 page) of conference venue

* brief description (1/2 - 1 page) of conference city and region/country

* rough idea of likely costs of (estimates only):

        - approximate registration rates (normal is to include 
everything inc workshops and dinner for all delegates bar one-day attendees)

        - venue hire

Bids are welcome from any organisation or group of organisation provided:

* they are researcher led;

* they agree to accept the committee guidelines on publication, 
refereeing and finance;

* dates and organisational issues will be agreed with the committee 
through negotiation after bidding;

* as an ACM conference all bidders must abide by ACM rules including 
publication of proceedings in ACM DL.
