1. Doesn't that mean "hope" or "wait" ?

   Not positive enough IMHO.  An Ada-phobe might say, "And we wait.  And
   we wait. ..."

2. Who needs Latin, anyway?  The same Ada-phobe might say,  "How appropriate.
   One dead language promoting another."
