An opportunity has arisen for a PhD in the Sonification of Financial Data as part of a project run jointly by the School of electronic Engineering and Computer Science and the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary, University of London. The program will be supervised by Dr. Tony Stockman and Dr. Leon Vinokur. The successful candidate will have available to them the wide range of resources in Queen Mary's world-renowned Centre for Digital Music (C4DM) and School of Economics and Finance. The campus is situated within a short distance of the financial centre of the City of London. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity of attending a Finance Trading Programme that runs in the School of Economics and Finance.

The project will involve the development and evaluation of Sonification techniques for real-time financial trading data to support trading activities by both sighted and visually impaired traders.

Informal enquiries should be directed to Dr. Tony Stockman, at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
