SECOND CALL FOR PARTICIPATION:

IEEE WHC 2015 (IEEE WORLD HAPTICS CONFERENCE 2015, THE 6TH JOINT
EUROHAPTICS CONFERENCE AND IEEE HAPTICS SYMPOSIUM)

Northwestern University
Evanston, Illinois, USA
June 22 to 25, 2015
http://www.haptics2015.org/

Technical Paper Submission Deadline: January 23, 2015

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, you are invited to participate in
IEEE WHC 2015 to be held in Evanston, IL (Chicago) June 22 to 25, 2015.
In recent years, we have witnessed the rapid evolution of haptics
research. Fundamental understanding of touch perception, technologies
for interface via haptics, and commercial applications, are all
burgeoning. IEEE World Haptics is the premier conference for reporting
research results and demonstrating novel capabilities in the field of
haptics. There are many ways to participate in the conference including
the submission of full-length technical papers, late-breaking
work-in-progress papers, and demonstrations; participation in workshops
and tutorials; and exhibition of commercial offerings. Corporations are
also encouraged to consider sponsorship opportunities as a means of both
supporting this dynamic community and maintaining visibility within it.

*Update: JOURNAL REFERRALS*
The top 10% of submissions (as rated by reviews) will be referred to the
IEEE Transactions on Haptics for expedited publication of an evolved,
journal-length version. If you would like to have your paper considered,
you will need to indicate this and provide a brief description of the
planned evolution of the paper during the submission process.

*Update: TALKS and POSTERS*
This year all accepted papers will be presented orally in a dual-track
format, while Work in Progress papers will be shown as posters.

*Update: KEYNOTES*
The first keynote talk will be entitled “Somatosensory Neuroprosthetics”
presented by Sliman Bensmaia (Univ of Chicago), Zelma Kiss (Univ of
Calgary), Lee Miller (Northwestern Univ) and Dustin Tyler (Case Western
Reserve Univ).

TOPICS
The conference welcomes original contributions related to any topics of
haptics. Topics of interest include:

Haptic Interface Design & Control
Tactile Display
Haptic Sensors and Actuators
Human-Computer Interaction Involving Haptics
Multi-Modal Systems Involving Haptics
Tele-operation and Virtual Environments
Haptic Rendering and Modeling
Shared Haptic Control and Collaboration
Human Haptic Perception
Neuroscience of Touch
Human-Robot Haptic Interaction
Haptics in Industrial and Commercial Applications
