"Community based Environments for Creative People"

This workshop provides a forum for researchers and practitioners 
who are interested in topics related to collaborative environments 
that have an impact on creative groups, organizations and social networks. 
Relevant issues include design, implementation, deployment, evaluation, 
methodologies, and effect of these systems. The workshop brings together 
researchers and practitioners from different areas working on the
development, introduction, management, deployment, and analysis of 
communityware supporting group work within organizations.

This workshop aims to bring together experts from Academia and Industry 
who share interest in the study and design of approaches and methodologies
in community support. It will focus on understanding the impact of communities 
in order to facilitate the design of complex cooperation systems. In this workshop 
on the design and implementation of Web based communities we would like to explore 
current and future tends in this growing field.

New types of media applications require new forms of working environments which, for example
* allow participants with various professional backgrounds to collaborate with each other
* consider the integration of multiple types of mobile devices 
* allow interactive three-dimensional design
* provide an overview on different activity lines 
* enable the design of multi-dimensional interactive applications.


Workshop participants are invited to submit extended versions of their workshop position papers 
to the journal 'Virtual Reality', Springer Verlag UK, for a special issue on 
"Collaborative Virtual Environments for Creative People".
